VES Land Trust hires new Community Outreach Coordinator
Please welcome Samantha Willis to VES Land Trust! Sam joins us as the Community Outreach Coordinator. She will be working on events and outreach and education programs, like the Oyster Roast Dinner, second grade field trips, and community hikes and workshops.
“VES Land Trust is excited to grow our community outreach and education programing with the addition of Sam. We look forward to providing meaningful educational opportunities for local students and connecting more community members with conservation and the land through programs like Paint and Picture the Shore,” said Hali Plourde-Rogers, Executive Director.
Sam graduated from Longwood University with a degree in Liberal Studies and Special Education. She holds a Collegiate Professional License for Pre-K – 6th grade. Sam has taught Pre-K and first grade for 12 years. Her most recent position was teaching Pre-K at Broadwater.
Sam joins Stewardship Manager, Arthur Upshur and Executive Director, Hali Plourde-Rogers on staff. The position is made possible by a grant from The Volgenau Foundation and Virginia Outdoors Foundation.
