Come Outside
Successful conservation includes and benefits the whole community. VES Land Trust provides outdoor experiences for conservationists of all ages. We lead field trips for second graders and offer free hikes and events for community members. Families can also find activities to take them and their kids outside.

Foster a Love for Nature
Each moment on the trail was a chance to learn. The students watched a turkey vulture glide above the trees. Lauren reflected later, “On the vulture’s back, the feathers are big, and on its stomach they are short. I learned that a turkey vulture can fly without its wings flapping.”
Nature Journal
Nature journaling is about developing and sharpening observation and curiosity. It’s an opportunity to connect with the world around you through looking closely, listening, recording, and asking questions. It connects science and the arts and provides a platform for self-expression and creativity.
