Join VESLT Staff and Board at our first ever Holiday Open House!
The exhibit opens with a reception on Friday, November 8th. At the reception, photographers and VES Land Trust staff will be present to talk more about the photographs, the artistic process, conservation, and the land.
The reception is free and open to the public. All photographs will be available for sale with 35% of proceeds benefiting VES Land Trust and their conservation mission.
Student, amateur, and professional photographers of all ages are invited to submit one (1) photo each that features the natural beauty and environment of the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Entries must feature the natural environment of the Eastern Shore and should focus on landscapes, plants, recreation, waterways, and wildlife.
Join VES Land Trust and Ted Shockley for a workshop on taking pictures with your cell phone! The workshop is in person Tuesday, September 24th from 5-7 p.m. This workshop is meant for anyone who would like to learn the basics of cell phone photography and how to take your best photos.

Paint the Shore is plein air event and art exhibit designed to bring conservation to the public through visual art. Paint the Shore welcomes artists to conserved land, highlighting both the art of plein air painting and the unique natural environment on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Artists will have the opportunity to capture and share a brief moment in a changing landscape.
Join the VESLT for a Sunset Cruise aboard John and Harriet Malbon’s 88’ Hatteras Yacht on June 17th (Rain Date: June 24)! Ticket includes cocktails and dinner catered by Todd Ramsey. Boarding at 6:00pm at the Kings Creek Marina, 6:30pm departure. Dinner will be served at 7:00pm, and the cruise will return to the marina at 9:30pm.
The boat is not ADA compliant. Tickets will be $150 per person, and are limited in quantity! When they are sold out here, they are all spoken for!

Since the event began in 1989, this Virginia tradition has engaged more than 165,500 volunteers who have removed approximately 7.18 million pounds of debris from more than 8,250 miles of shoreline.

Get outside on a joint adventure with the VESLT & Bird Club of the Eastern Shore. Walk Seaview Farm, a VESLT easement property, with our leader, Joanne Laskowski, who will identify the many bird species found in the different habitats on the farm. The Fall Gathering will be held on the beautiful porch at Look East Farm. Dinner and drinks will be included. The Gathering is catered by Amy Brandt and held on October 2nd (rain date will be Oct. 9th). Tickets are $100 per person and will be limited to 60 guests.

This webinar will review what heirs property is, how you become an heir, what resources you and your family need to make the best decisions about your land, the basics of the new Uniform Partition of Heirs Property Act and what it means for you and your family.
In partnership with the Academy for Lifetime Learning (ALL) and their fall course Digital Photography: Taking Control of Your Camera, VES Land Trust is offering an in person workshop. Beginning photographers must be a participant in the corresponding ALL course to attend the in person workshop.
